Standard English is a Choice

Using Standard English in educational environment is very crucial. Standard English play an important in teaching and learning process. It is a tool to bridge the gap of students who come from different geographical area. Teacher should acquire Standard English to communicate with students effectively.As we know that students come from different geographical area. They bring various backgrounds and particular identity such as local language. The used of different language will be a barrier of transferring knowledge or information in learning process so we have to choose standard English to make the generalization of language. Teaching language is not only taught spoken text but also written text. We cannot control student if we use non-standard English because it cannot be measured.  

Standard English has formal structure that can be taught systematically by the teacher.  The systematic language is easier to be understood by the students. They can construct sentence in spoken and written context. In other word, to build communication in Standard English is more effective than to build communication in Non-Standard English.
