Apa itu Tes Potensi Akademik???

Selayang Pandang tes TPA

Tes Potensi Akademik atau biasa disebut TPA adalah salah satu jenis tes yang diperuntukan bagi calon mahasiswa S1, S2, S3, ataupun bagi pelamar kerja. Tes ini dilakukan untuk mengukur sejauh mana potensi atau kemungkinan keberhasilan calon mahasiswa yang diterima oleh perguruan tinggi. atau singkatnya, siswa dengan skor TPA yang baik akan dapat menyelasaikan studinya dengan baik pula. Mahasiswa dengan skor TPA tinggi biasanya memiliki tingkat kemungkinan keberhasilan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa dengan skor TPA yang rendah. rentang skor TPA berkisar antara 200-800. Beberapa materi yang diujikan dalam TPA adalah:
1. Tes verbal (persamaan kata, lawan kata, analogi verbal)
2. Tes kuantitatif (deret huruf, deret angka, aritmatik, verbal aritmatik)
3. penalaran (logika formal, analitis, keruangan, penalaran logis)

TPA di Indonesia di kembangkan oleh BAPPENAS. Mendapatkan skor TPA denagn nilai yang tinggi menjadi keninginan setiap orang, tentunya yang mengikuti tes tersebut. rekor skor TPA tertinggi pernah didapat oleh seorang mahasiswa UGM. rekor tesebut adalah skor TPA 756,50.
tentunya dengan banyak berlatih dan membaca wacana/ berita, tidak tertutup kemungkinan skor TPA akan meningkat.

GRAMMAR FOR TOEFL PREPARATION

SUBJECT-VERB AGREEMENT

Every sentence at least consist of one subject and one verb. The subject usually placed place before the verb, but sometimes subject separated from the verb. Subject and verb in a sentence must agree in a person and number.

1.      Subject Placed before Verb

-          He is the new director of the institute.

                   S   V

The singular subject he placed before the singular verb is.

2.      Subject Separated from the Verb

-          The boy in the room is studying.

-          The boys in the room are studying.

The sentences above show that the subject placed separately with the verb.

It is very often if the subject and verb are separated, they will be separated by a prepositional phrase and it has no effect on the verb.

3.      Word That Always Take Singular Verb and Pronouns

When the following words are used as subject, they are always singular. Some of these words are plural in meaning, but they always require singular verb in formal written English.

5.      Either/Neither

When either and neither are followed by or and nor the verb maybe singular or plural depending of the noun which follow or and nor.

6.      Gerund as Subject

If a sentence begins with gerund, the verb must be singular.

Word that indicate a number of people are always singular.

Curriculum Vitae merupakan salah satu syarat yang harus dilengkapi oleh seorang pelamar ketika hendak melamar sebuah pekerjaan. Curriculum Vitae memiliki pengaruh yang cukup  penting dalam hal perekrutan pegawai.     memuat informasi seputar pendidikan si pelamar mulai dari tingkat dasar hingga pendidikan
    terakhir yang ditempuh.

3. Language
    menjelaskan tentang kemampuan berbahasa si pelamar baik Spoken (lisan) ataupun Written
    (tulisan). Note* bahasa memiliki nilai plus yang tinggi

4. Organization
    berisi tentang pengalaman organisasi si pelamar.

5. Work history
    berisi tentang pengalaman kerja si pelamar.

6. Interest
    berisi tentang ketertarikan si pelamar dalam bidang tertentu. biasanya berkaitan dengan hobby,
    seperti literature, sport, reading, games, teaching, dll.

7. other skills
    berisi tentang kemampuan lain yang dimiliki si pelamar, misalnya computer skill. note* sebutkan
    beberapa program yang telah di kuasai misalnya: photoshop, Ms. office.

8. Personality
    menjelaskan tentang hal yang berkaitan dengan pribadi si pelamar misalnya sifat ( communicative,
    dilligent, responsible)


Selain berisi informasi tersebut yang tak kalah penting adalah design CV. hal ini jarang dilakukan oleh para pelamar. kebanyakan dari mereka mementingkan isi CV dari pada sisi estetiknya.  sebenarnya hal itu tidaklah berdosa, namun alangkah baiknya jika isi CV yang baik di dukung dengan design CV yang menarik.
