ANECDOTE

Abstract

I had an unpleasant moment this morning.

Orientation

My older sister had a morning schedule and she had to go the town earlier to attend a meeting. I was forced to take her to the bus halt using motorcycle as fast as possible. She rode the motorcycle first to the bus halt. Later, after getting the bus, she asked me to go back.

Crisis

When I started the motorcycle, suddenly it did not work. I thought that the fuel run out but the speedometer showed that it was full. I saw the motor entirely. This one looked new but I thought that my elder sister had bought the broken one. I phoned her but no answer.  I tried to phone her again although I knew she was already busy.When she was answering my phone, I told that she had bought a broken motorcycle. She should buy a new one, so it would not bother me. She said angrily, “Are you kidding me? You must know I had bought the new one. Maybe the problem was in you. You forgot the way to ride matic, didn’t you?” I was surprised hearing that.

Reaction

She was angry and offended, especially after having unwanted phone call when she was still attending the meeting.

Coda

I still forget how to ride an automatic motorcycle.
